BreakingNow 9 is an independent online news and press release publication covering Florida. Here is exactly what we publish, where it comes from, and how press releases work.
We aggregate Florida headlines through a licensed news API (Mediastack) and Google News. Every headline credits the outlet that published it and links to the original story. We never republish or rewrite third-party articles.
Florida businesses, nonprofits and public agencies can publish press releases through our press wire. Every one is labelled “Press Release” on the page, and is kept separate from the aggregated headlines.
BreakingNow 9 is an independently owned online publication serving the state of Florida. We are an online publication, not a broadcaster: the “9” is part of our name, we do not operate a TV or radio channel, and we are not affiliated with any network, station or other media organization.
Who writes them: Releases are written and supplied by the organizations that submit them. They are not written, reported or endorsed by BreakingNow 9.
How they are published: Each release is published as received, under the submitting organization's name, and is labelled “Press Release” wherever it appears. Claims in a release are the submitter's own.
What we check: We do not accept releases that promote stocks, cryptocurrency or other investments, and we remove personal phone numbers and email addresses before publishing.
Getting in touch with a submitter: Each release shows the submitting company and its website.
What we display: The headline, a short excerpt and thumbnail where the publisher supplies them, a category and the originating outlet's name. Each item links to the original article.
What we do not do: We do not republish, mirror or modify the body of any source article.
Copyright: All content remains the property of its respective publisher.
Data: Weather from Open-Meteo using National Weather Service models; alerts from the National Weather Service; road cameras from the Florida Department of Transportation via FL511; TV listings via TVmaze; gas prices via the U.S. Energy Information Administration; lottery results via New York State Open Data.
Robots & rate limits: We fetch news data no more than once per cache window (cached server-side), use a clearly identifying BreakingNow9/1.0 User-Agent, and honor any Retry-After, 429 or removal signal from the underlying publishers' servers.
Corrections: If a headline or release on BreakingNow 9 is wrong or out of date, let us know through our contact form and we will correct or remove it.
